RECYCLING INITIATIVE AND TAKE-BACK PROGRAM
Instead of throwing your worn-out nylon socks and tights in the bin, you can send them to us or drop them off at one of our recycling partners’ stores. We accept all brands.
Latest estimates say that every year 6-7 billion pairs of nylon tights are produced, used and discarded. They are made using petroleum, chemicals, water and energy and when thrown away they dissolve into microplastics, polluting our groundwater and the world’s oceans or are burned with CO2 emissions as a result.
We have launched the Dear Denier Recycling Initiative as the first big scale initiative worldwide to address this massive problem.

Send 3 or more pairs of worn-out nylon tights or other products of the stubborn nylon/elastane blend and let us recycle them for you.
When you send them directly to us we will offer you a 10% discount on your next online purchase. Just include your name and e-mail in the parcel along with your old hosiery.

DEVELOPING NEW TECHNOLOGY IS THE WAY FORWARD
We have teamed up with scientists from the Danish Technological Institute to figure out the best and most sustainable way to recycle nylon hosiery to prevent them from ending up in landfills or incinerators.
The ultimate goal is of course to be able to make new tights from used tights. Until we have found the solution, we will use the discarded tights – we receive – for laboratory experiments. Right now we have a very promising technology in the pipeline, and we look forward to announcing more soon.
RECYCLING PARTNERS
To make it even easier for you to be part of the solution we are teaming up with retailers around the world and making our recycling bins and logistics available free of charge for them.
This gives you two opportunities to make sure that your worn-out nylon products end up being recycled, and not in landfills or incinerators.
1. You can drop them off at one of the retailers participating in The Dear Denier Recycling Initiative.
2. Or you can send them directly to us.
When dropping off your old socks and tights at one of our recycling partners they will make sure that we receive the discarded tights.
The list of participating recycling partners is growing every day.
